Hidden deep in the forest, I transformed a rotting tree stump into a secret dugout hideaway. After clearing the decayed core, I dug downward, creating a small underground chamber beneath the stump, accessible through a concealed trapdoor. Inside, I lined the walls with timber and built a miniature stone fireplace, vented through the stump’s center with a thin flue. The chimney blends perfectly with the bark, releasing only a wisp of smoke. Lit by firelight, the cozy space feels like a forgotten burrow from a storybook—my silent refuge where nature guards my secrets, and warmth glows beneath the roots of an ancient sentinel.
