Build a Log Cabin, a Covered Off-Grid Shelter, and a Wet Fireplace – My Life in the Jungle

Living in the jungle demands self-reliance. I built my log cabin using trees felled by hand, each log carefully notched and fitted. A nearby covered off-grid shelter serves as a workshop, protecting tools and supplies from sudden downpours. The heart of my jungle home is the wet fireplace—a fire built on a bed of damp moss, safely contained even in the rain. These structures blend into the green, offering comfort without harming the environment. In the jungle, every element of life must be crafted with care, and these creations sustain me, shelter me, and connect me to the wild.
