Continuing the Log Cabin Deck Build

This weekend, I resumed work on the log cabin deck. Framing is nearly complete, with joists securely fastened and level. Next, I started laying the first row of decking boards, making sure each was properly aligned and spaced. Using a circular saw, I trimmed boards to fit snugly around support beams. The scent of fresh lumber filled the air as progress picked up speed. Weather permitting, I plan to finish the decking surface by midweek. With each plank laid, the vision of morning coffee on the deck becomes more real. This project blends craftsmanship with connection to nature—every step forward feels rewarding.
