After a full year of hard work and living close to nature, I finally began building the massive log roof for my log cabin deep in the wilderness. Working alone, I carefully lifted each heavy log into place, securing them with hand tools and determination. The roof is the most important part—it will protect everything I’ve built from the elements. Every notch, beam, and joint was done by hand. It’s exhausting, but rewarding.
