The entrance faces south to capture sunlight, while a small fire pit outside provides warmth. Daily testing revealed its strength in rain, wind, and cold—proving it’s both functional and sustainable. Living in this dugout deepened my connection to nature and refined my survival skills. It’s not just shelter—it’s a testament to patience, resourcefulness, and harmony with the wild.
