Solo Cabin Build and Wild Cooking with My Dogs

Hammer in hand, dogs at my side, I’m building a cabin deep in the pines—just me, my tools, and the rhythm of nature. Each day ends with a crackling fire and wild-cooked meals: trout from the stream, foraged mushrooms, potatoes wrapped in foil and ash. My dogs bark at shadows, then curl close as stars emerge. I chop wood, lay logs, and learn as I go. There’s no rush, no noise but the wind and their happy howls. This life is simple, raw, and real. With every meal shared under the open sky, I’m not just building shelter—I’m building a home, one fire-cooked moment at a time.
